
PHOENIX, Arizona (Thursday, August 12) — Phoenix Rising FC has transferred forward Rufat Dadashov to FC Schalke 04 II, the club announced today.
“I’m very pleased for Rufat,” said Rising head coach Rick Schantz. “He has been fantastic in his time here at Phoenix Rising. I am sure he will be successful in Germany. I look forward to following his career. We all wish him the very best at FC Schalke II.”
Dadashov began his tenure with Rising by scoring three goals in his debut on March 7, 2020. He finished the 2020 season with 11 goals and four assists for the Western Conference Champions. The Azerbaijani forward appeared in 18 of Phoenix’s 20 matches. Dadashov ranked third on the team in chances created with 31, behind only Solomon Asante (51) and Jon Bakero (36).
Dadashov added four goals and two assists in 14 appearances for Rising this season.
Prior to joining Phoenix, Dadashov made 52 appearances for German third-division side Preußen Münster in 2018-19, where he scored 14 goals with two assists.
Dadashov has been capped 24 times for the Azerbaijan National Team. He has five goals in his international career.
