PHOENIX (August 14, 2018) — Phoenix Rising midfielder Solomon Asante was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 22 of the 2018 USL season the league announced today. On Saturday evening, Asante scored a hat trick in a 4-3 loss to Orange County SC. Asante now has 10 goals on the season, second on the club.
This is the fifth time this season Asante has been recognized by the league. He was named to the Team of the Week in weeks 6, 7, and 12. He was a Team of the Week Honorable Mention in weeks 1 and 3.
Phoenix Rising squares off with Las Vegas Lights FC this Saturday, August 18, at 8:00 p.m. The club will hold two official watch parties at Thirsty Lion (Tempe Marketplace) and Tim Finnegan's (17045 N 59th Ave #103, Glendale).
